The Archive
The Archive is the permanent record of La Nuit Pâtisserie. It holds past dessert collections in Birmingham, preserved as records of what has already been shared.
It exists to hold completed collections once they have passed fully from circulation. Nothing here is current, available, or repeated. What remains has already been prepared, shared, and allowed to settle into memory.
This is not a working space, but a place of preservation.
What belongs here
Each collection created by La Nuit Pâtisserie moves through a natural progression.
It begins in The Collection, where it is available briefly.
After a release closes, traces of the work appear in From The Dreamer’s Kitchen, where images and accompanying writing continue to live while still close to the act of making.
Once a collection has fully passed, it is placed here.
The Archive holds:
closed collections in full
menu structures and titles
contextual notes where relevant
It is a record rather than a reflection.
A distinction from other spaces
The Archive is separate by design.
From The Dreamer’s Kitchen is a living record, gathering remnants while they are still warm
The Library contains longer essays and considered writing, not bound to a single collection
The Plates preserves visual records of completed evenings
The Archive exists quietly beneath these spaces, holding what no longer needs interpretation.
How to use this page
Scroll down to explore previous work. Entries may include:
a tasting menu text
its associated letters
the date of release
(optionally) a menu image or page snapshot
Each entry links back to the main pages where that work originally appeared, giving you both context and continuity. What remains of past evenings is gathered visually in The Plates.
Why the archive remains accessible
Collections at La Nuit Pâtisserie are not intended to return unchanged.
By keeping a visible archive, the work is allowed to exist without repetition. Guests may revisit what has passed without expectation of revival or continuation.
This approach protects the integrity of each collection and allows new work to emerge without comparison.
Looking ahead
Future collections will appear first at the table, then briefly in From The Dreamer’s Kitchen, before finding their place here.
Those wishing to be informed when La Nuit Pâtisserie opens again may request an invitation. Invitations offer notice and context, not obligation.
